These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WCAG.World website and the AccessRadar accessibility scanning service (together, the "Service"), operated by WCAG.World ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Service description
AccessRadar is an automated scanning tool that crawls a website you submit and evaluates its markup against WCAG 2.1/2.2 success criteria using automated testing rules (built on axe-core and related tooling), producing a report of findings, a numeric score, and optional AI-generated fix explanations on paid tiers.
Automated scanning is not a legal compliance guarantee. No automated tool, including ours, can detect every WCAG failure or certify that a website satisfies the ADA, Section 508, the European Accessibility Act, or any other law or regulation. Automated tools reliably catch a meaningful subset of accessibility issues (commonly cited industry estimates put this at roughly 30-50% of WCAG success criteria); the rest require manual testing with assistive technology and human judgment. A clean scan report is evidence of good-faith effort and reduced risk, not proof of legal compliance, and does not create a warranty, indemnity, or safe harbor of any kind. If you need a legal compliance opinion, a VPAT/ACR prepared to a defensible standard, or litigation support, engage a qualified human auditor or legal counsel in addition to using the Service.
2. Accounts
You must provide an accurate email address to create an account and are responsible for all activity under your credentials. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. Notify us promptly at experts@wcag.world of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Subscription plans and billing
AccessRadar is offered on the following recurring monthly plans: Free ($0/mo), Starter ($39/mo), Pro ($129/mo), and Agency ($399/mo), each with the site, page, and feature limits described on our pricing page at the time of purchase. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via our payment processor, Stripe, and automatically renew each month until cancelled. We do not store your card details; Stripe handles all payment card processing on our behalf.
You can view invoices, update your payment method, change plans, or cancel at any time through the Stripe customer billing portal linked from your account dashboard. Cancelling stops future renewals; your plan remains active through the end of the billing period you already paid for, after which your account reverts to the Free plan and any data or site limits above the Free tier may become inaccessible until you upgrade again.
4. Refunds
Charges are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started, because plans can be cancelled at any time to stop future renewals. If you believe you were billed in error — for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after you cancelled — contact experts@wcag.world within 30 days of the charge and we will review the issue and, where a billing error is confirmed, issue a refund or credit at our discretion.
5. Acceptable use
You may only submit a URL for scanning if you own that site or have authorization from its owner to scan it. You agree not to: use the Service to scan sites you are not authorized to test; attempt to circumvent per-tier scan, page, or rate limits; use the Service to overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any system; resell or sublicense raw access to the Service without our written consent; or use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice.
6. Intellectual property
We own all right, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, scanning methodology, report design, and branding. You own the content of the websites you submit for scanning. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose during your subscription. Scan reports generated for your account are yours to use, share, and publish (for example, as evidence of remediation work) for your own business purposes.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT SCAN RESULTS ARE COMPLETE OR EXHAUSTIVE. AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION 1, A SCAN DOES NOT GUARANTEE LEGAL COMPLIANCE WITH ANY ACCESSIBILITY LAW OR REGULATION.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WCAG.WORLD AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY ACCESSIBILITY LAWSUIT, CLAIM, OR REGULATORY ACTION BROUGHT AGAINST A SITE YOU SCANNED. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service, in which case we will make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers in advance.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where practical, notify active subscribers by email. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which WCAG.World is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
